Heidi

Aunt Dete takes her niece, Heidi, to stay with the young girl's grandfather who lives alone in the Swiss Alps. Heidi makes friends with Peter, a young goatherd. Heidi loves the outdoor life and is very sad when she is forced to leave to live in the city. She meets Clara who is pale and sick and unable to walk. Heidi misses the mountains and she becomes ill. Is there anything that can save her? Can she ever be happy again?      ‘Academics’ is a series of graded readers that allows pupils to develop key language skills through activity-based learning.
